HISTORY

THE 'G' LOGO

I came up with the symbol on 4 eye bear's hoodie when I was 14, in early April 2015. Before I started drawing pictures that had characters with big 'HAM' letters on their shirts and hoodies later that August. The symbol represented the letter G and still does. It was inspired by and grew from the icon that represented a pot stand from Egyptian hieroglyphics (shown below). Slowly the design changed majorly and it began as a very rough version of what you see above this text and to its right. Through the years I refined it until it had the volume and shape you see now. The talented, multi-hyphenate Suplex designed this version of the logo in 2018.

I use it on HAM Worldwide products and my own art, but as a symbol it goes beyond simply being HAM's logo.

It represents being a g; growth, guile, generosity, and sharing creations. A pot stand can be used to show off work that takes care and hard work. This makes it fitting as my personal logo for anything creative I do, and was the personal 'signature' I used for my work for months before the idea of Ham had crossed my mind.

The G fundamental logo.
